Alone
Music makes one feel so romantic—or, at least, it always gets on one’s nerves, which is the same thing nowadays.
I may or may not have stolen flowers for my mom for Mother’s day…. It can neither be confirmed or denied that my brother helped me smuggle arm-fulls of lilacs from a winery’s driveway into the back of my car and into the house… I CAN answer in the affirmative that I have an amazing mom! And I CAN confirm that I am most thankful for her!

Another Chopin Etude! This is one I was supposed to learn but I haven’t the time. It’s so beautiful though- I’ll learn it one day.

What are you going to have to show for your years at college? A diploma perhaps. But most of what you are taking from here is intangible. So don’t kill yourself studying; take a break now and then and spend it with your friends. It’s those friends and the memories you make with them that you can take away with you forever… No job will satisfy like a good work ethic, time planning skills, or knowledgeable passion. Or a great and lasting friendship.
Covered up. Safe and sound. Who would guess that plants need tucking-in at night!
There are moments when I feel so outcast amongst my own family. They are just bugging me, I know but… All the time? I am strong enough to handle it but thats not to say that when I am alone again it doesn’t stop hurting. Is it because I lack a little direction in my life? No. Is it because of what I have decided to study in school? Not really. Then what is it? It’s my perception. I think it needs an alignment again. To take things a little less seriously perhaps. Or I can remain feeling outcast… it might provide the motivation that I need in my life. Prove them all wrong about me. I am a Thorp after all. Not everything that I take seriously can be thrown to the wind. Mock me and my decisions I’ll adjust and evolve. If I must I’ll find support somewhere else. That’s what God wants to do for me all the time and He is sufficient. He is everything. Without Him I can do nothing, no not any thing.
